Ambient, or background, noise is encountered in most public places. When standard speakers are employed in a public environment, it is very difficult to hear the signal over the surrounding background noise. VAI solves this problem by projecting the sound waves directly into the listener's ears. The sound waves, projected by VAI, are so concentrated that an individual standing in the listening region will not be disturbed by the background noise. Even in the loudest environments, such as tradeshows, music stores, and arcades, listeners hear audio playing through VAI clearly and without interference from surrounding noise.
As an individual steps under a Virtual Audio Imager, the surrounding ambient noise is masked by the stereo sounds projected from VAI. The listener is immersed into a personal, isolated, three dimensional acoustic world where sound comes from every direction.
